Bhaskar Raj Pant, MD is practicing Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with primary specialty interest in Joint Replacement, Reconstruction and Trauma. He is the Chief Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and Head of the Department of Orthopedics at HAMS Hospital, Nepal. As our board member, Bhaskar oversees Rural Trauma Care across our service areas in Achham and Dolakha. Prior to working in HAMS, Bhaskar was the Assistant Director of Joint Replacement and Sports Medicine at Grande International Hospital, Nepal. He did his Fellowship in Joint Replacement and Sports from Cincinnati, USA and has completed an advanced course in Joint Replacement from Fribourg, Switzerland as well as Knee Fellowship from Tohoku University, Japan. He has also pursued Advanced AO Trauma from Thailand and Global Health Delivery course from Harvard University, USA. Bhaskar is also an Affiliate Member of International Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SICOT), Orthopedic Trauma Association (OTA), AO Trauma and Surgical Implant Generation Network (SIGN), National Commissioner for The LANCET Nepal NCD-I Poverty Commission. He is also the Treasurer for Arthroscopy Society of Nepal and the Co-Founder & Executive Member of NAAMII.
